The Helmsley line uses the finest 100% pure new wool, woven in Scotland by Johnstons of Elgin to produce a soft, high-grade tweed. The tweed is laminated with natural rubber to provide 100% waterproofing, and greater weight and durability.
The Hemsley Tweed Tote is a classic shopper-style bag. The leather handles can be set to carry over the shoulder or by hand. The detachable cotton webbing sling also gives the option for shoulder carry. Combined with vegetable-tanned bridle leather straps and trims with solid brass hardware, heavy cotton webbing, and hand-stitched detail throughout, these stylish bags are as at home in the city as they are walking on the moors or picnicking in the fields.
